Unloading & MovingThis information is provided to assist in safe and functional installation of Wood Stone Traditional Series ovens. Above all, the oven must be installed in accordance with all relevant local and national codes, and in a manner acceptable to the authority having jurisdiction. We recommend our Mountain Series ovens be moved/installed using a forklift, pallet jack, or crane. For more narrow installations, a Roll Over Cage kit can be purchased. Please visit our Oven Design & Installation page for additional details.
Oven Design & InstallationWe are excited to offer in-house tile installation on our Traditional Series ovens for our valued clients. Check out the tile catalog in the 'Collateral' section to the right for more information. Note that due to the size/shape of these ovens, we recommend using tiles no larger than 1/2" to provide the most seamless installation and appearance.

How you plan to use your Wood Stone oven will determine which arch style is right for you. Shown here are the standard and two optional styles available (on select models). The three arch styles are shown installed on a Mountain Series oven.
1. Standard Arch
By far our most popular arch because of its versatility, blending the best flame visibility, chef accessibility and menu adaptability.
2. Low Arch Wide (Specialty Arch)
Offers a higher temperature cooking chamber, while still offering good visibility and accessibility
3. Low Arch Narrow (Specialty Arch)
For customers that are willing to trade visibility and accessibility in pursuit of the Naples experience.

The gas usage will vary greatly depending on your oven model, fuel type, usage, and even what you are cooking. However, as a reference point, a WS-MS-5-RFG-IR using natural gas rated at 188,000 BTU/hr (1.88therms/hr) with a temperature range of 550F-600F (285C-315C), with two hours of heat up time and four hours of cooking, might average around 675,000 BTU daily (6.75 therms/day or 1.125 therms/hr).
For more detailed information, check out the Average Gas Consumption page.
Almost all Wood Stone ovens will develop a floor or dome crack over time. These are the natural result of expansion and contraction of the ceramic dome and floor as it heats and cools, and is completely normal. For more information, click here.
Countless blind taste tests have confirmed for us that there is little appreciable difference in flavor. In our opinion, it is open flame (of any kind) and the stone itself that create the wonderful flavor profiles that have long been associated with wood fire. However, the theater and marketing power of a live wood fire cannot be underestimated.
