Wood Stone Announces New Leadership Roles and Welcomes New VP of Operations & Engineering
Bellingham, WA, September 17, 2020 – Wood Stone Corporation, a leading manufacturer of stone hearth and specialty cooking equipment is announcing changes to its leadership team with expanded roles for both Michael Quinn, VP of Global Sales, Tamra Nelson, VP of Strategic Marketing and with the addition of Fred Gapasin, VP of Operations & Engineering.
In their new roles, Quinn, Nelson and Gapasin are responsible for driving business results and direction along with executing the goals and growth strategies for their respective business units. As members of the leadership team, they will all report to Chris Trout, President & CEO.
Michael Quinn will assume the position of VP of Global Sales as his role expands to include the inside sales function. He will now be able to leverage the entire sales organization to drive new strategies that have emerged in the current environment. Michael has been with Wood Stone for one year and has over 20 years of experience with manufacturing companies (sales, business development, strategy, quality). He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines.
Tamra Nelson will also expand her responsibilities as the VP of Strategic Marketing. As an industry veteran with a background in marketing, she will be responsible for the development of insights and fueling a customer-led growth agenda for Wood Stone’s products and parts portfolio. Tamra has been with Wood Stone for 15 years.
Fred Gapasin, VP of Operations & Engineering joins the organization with extensive product realization and fulfillment experience. Fred will be focused on creating synergies and developing new processes among the operations, engineering, supply chain and quality teams. Gapasin previously served as Sr. VP and General Manager at Altair Advanced Industries before joining Wood Stone. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering and MBA in Production/Operations Management degrees from California State University, and holds CSSBB, CPIM, and SCOR-P certifications.
