Test Kitchen Coordinator

Wood Stone is currently seeking a Test Kitchen Coordinator.

 

DESCRIPTION: 

You Will

  • Assist Corporate Chef(s) as required.
  • Arrange test kitchen visits with interested parties, inclusive of booking accommodations and scheduling the kitchen calendar.
  • Source food and supplies for the test kitchen, including working with food purveyors for longer term supplies as well as making regular shopping trips.
  • Have the ability to adapt to menu requirements of our guests using acquired knowledge of all Wood Stone recipes.
  • Serve as prep cook for all visits.
  • Keep the kitchen in world class work order, both in terms of cleanliness and organization.
  • Have the ability to speak to the basics of equipment operation through demonstration cooking.
  • Assist the chefs in ensuring each visit is geared for the type of operation and menu as presented by each visitor.  This may require interviewing potential guests prior to their visit to make sure we understand their visit goals and then relaying those to the chef performing the visit.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

You Have

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • The ability to take direction easily and ask questions when needed.
  • The ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A desire to help everyone with a positive attitude, and be willing to be helped with gratitude.
  • 2 years of culinary experience or Culinary School certificate.
  • Fluency in Food Safety practices and possess knife skills.
  • Knowledge of commercial kitchens and restaurants.

 


 

Mechanical Assembler

Wood Stone is currently seeking a Mechanical Assembler.

 

DESCRIPTION: 

You Will

  • Help build the best products of their kind for the enjoyment and satisfaction of Wood Stone customers, in the most efficient and safe manner possible.
  • Assemble electro-mechanical units, requiring adjusting, fitting and aligning to ordinary tolerances.
  • Work from drawings or specifications. Inspect and test completed units.
  • Strive for beautiful and well-crafted products.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

You Have

  • A high school diploma or its equivalent.
  • 1 – 2 years of experience in related area.
  • The ability to read blueprints and perform basic math, including understanding fractions.
  • The ability to read a tape measure.
  • A familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the electro-mechanical field.
  • The ability to work in a team oriented environment.

 


 

Shipper

Wood Stone is currently seeking the position of Shipper.

 

DESCRIPTION: 

You Will

  • Prepare products for safe shipment via common carriers using lumber, hardware, and other packaging materials. Build crating for some products using large power tools.
  • Pull accessories per pick lists to complete customer orders and inspects final products for customers’ satisfaction (dents, sharp edges, misalignments, other visual and tactile imperfections).
  • Prepare products for shipment via small package carriers (UPS or FedEx) using the carrier software that facilitates recording of goods shipped, bills of lading, posting weight and shipping charges for accounting.
  • Load trucks with packaged products, usually very large and heavy, requiring forklift(s).

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

You Have

  • A high school diploma or its equivalent.
  • 1 – 2 years of experience in related area.
  • A valid driver’s license to operate a motor vehicle in the state and an acceptable driving record.
  • Some familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field.
  • The ability to perform basic math.
  • The ability to read a tape measure.
  • The ability to work in a team oriented environment.
